#gemiusAdReal Germany: February Champions

February is a host of one of the biggest comercial occasions of the year – Valentine's day. This is one of the many reasons why companies stayed very active trying to reach their target audience. So Gemius overviewed the Reach[&]GRP February champions in Germany.

Gemius, which measures online advertising campaigns, monitors websites closely and provides services and solutions in the fields of user analysis, big data software and consultancy, has reached important information about brands and advertisement reach rates in February 2023, as it does every month.

Looking at the Reach champions, Amazon was the brand with 91%, while o2 covered 88%, Lidl 87%, Samsung 84% and Ikea.de 83%. According to gemiusAdreal's Cross-Media GRP data (February 2023), brands have continuos desire to increase their advertisement reach on TV channels and digital platforms (web, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok platforms) with the same zeal as it was in previous months. Amazon, the huge online retailer and web service provider ranked first position by reaching 5009 GRP, while Ikea, which gained 3035 GRP, followed by RTL wtih GRP of 2572. Lidl hold out 4th place with 2335 GRP, and the last company in the top 5 was Media Shop.

When we look at the generated GRP made by brands only on web and mobile platforms Amazon maintains its place on a top by reaching 4337 GRP, followed by eBay from its competitors with 1633 GRP. While OTTO reached 1612 GRP, IKEA 1532 GRP and WEB.DE 1051 GRP were other brands that drew attention in the top 5. Focused on the reach champions in terms of only web and mobile platforms, Amazon, which ranked first with 82%, stood out with o2 71%, OTTO 71%, Lidl 67% and Samsung 65%.

In February, Gemius also focused on video creatives designed by brands for TV and digital platforms. In terms of TV+Digital GRP champions, it is seen that reuter.de, which has reached 710 GRP, stands out. Wick was another brand that attracted attention with its 689 GRP. When it comes to digital only GRP champions, reuter.de also took the first place with 710 GRP, and Forge of Empires was one of the brands that attracted attention in February with 45 GRP.
