
Ukraine: food ads viewed most on YouTube
Gemius analysed how food manufacturers promoted their brands to Ukrainian network users in April via video ad. The study takes into account last month’s data for internet users aged 14 to 69 on desktop and laptop computers. At the top of the ranking were Orbit ads, which were watched by every fifth internet user – 3.5 million people (source: gemiusAdReal). These spots also registered the most views, with 7.7 million.
Four sweets brands in the top5
Second place in the April top5 was for Snickers, whose material was displayed to 3.4 million network users – only slightly less than the leader’s ads. Also in strong positions were spots promoting two more sweets brands: Barni ads were viewed by 2.5 million people and Korona ads by 2.2 million. The sweet monopoly of the top five was only broken by Prostokvashino dairy products, which were played by 2.6 million internet users on desktops and laptops.
Publishers level-pegging
Spots promoting food products were displayed to the greatest number of Ukrainians on Youtube.com, where 2.8 million internet users viewed them. There was a very similar audience for this industry at Vk.com (with 2.7 million people) and Sinoptik.ua (with 2.6 million). April food ads were watched by a total of 9.5 million people, more than half of them surfing on PCs.
