Flash down in Poland
Adobe forecasts to end technical support for Flash by the end of 2020. This has prompted Gemius to take a closer look at the changes in the percentage of page views on the Polish Internet made from no-Flash browsers over the last five years.
Two-thirds of all page views without Flash
The data collected shows that the departure from this technology has been gradual, but decisive. Over the last five years, the number of Polish websites’ page views generated by browsers without Flash has risen from 6.4 per cent in July 2013 to 61.5 per cent in July 2017 (source: gemiusPrism).
Flash diminishing
Every year, the percentage of page views generated by browsers without Flash is significantly higher. A rapid increase was noted across the last twelve months. In July 2016, this was only one-third of all page views, while only one year later, this number grew to two-thirds.
Gemius analysed data from the years 2013 – 2017 collected from Polish internet users who use personal computers and laptops as well as mobile devices.
